Our best estimate is that this was the first day when global temperature was more than 2°C above 1850-1900 (or pre-industrial) levels, at 2.06°C. pic.twitter.com/jXF8oRZeip
...Breaking News!

Well humanity, we did it, even if just for one day. Yesterday, Nov. 18, was the first time in recorded history that the global 2m surface temperature breached 2.0°C above the 1850-1900 IPCC baseline.
The long-term average remains below 1.5°C. But not for long. pic.twitter.com/FGdQJP81FM

ΔT +2.06 °C !!
This is what uncharted territory looks like.
The first time that the global temperature anomaly has broken through +2.0 °C, for a single day in observational history.
Much more to come in the months ahead. https://t.co/58ZjQzpM0s pic.twitter.com/Kp85epOjP3
